Mirza's roof was over 20 years old and beginning to show signs of streaking, which meant that the shingles were starting to absorb water instead of repel it. Mirza wanted to get a new roof before the plywood underneath started to rot.
We had to find a specific shingle so that we could match the style that Mirza requested. Considering how old his current roof was, we also has to supply plywood for pieces that became rotted.
Instead of using Timberline shingles, we found Owens Corning brand in a terra cotta color that Mirza liked. There were several pieces of plywood that were rotted so we replaced them.
